The village of Dunholme is located within the West Lindsey District of Lincolnshire, just 5 miles north of the City of Lincoln. The earliest documented mention of the village is in the Domesday Book (1086). The parish church, dedicated to St Chad is a Grade I listed building. Dunholme Lodge airfield (closed in 1964) was used by RAF Bomber Command during WW2.
The village is served by two schools; St Chad's Church of England Primary School and William Farr Church of England Comprehensive School, a Lincolnshire Co-op Supermarket and a Post Office. Most other village amenities are shared with the neighbouring village of Welton-by-Lincoln.
