Minutes May 2026

The Annual Council meeting of Dunholme Parish Council took place on Monday 11th May 2026 in the Jubilee Room of the village hall. 

Present: Cllrs A Pache (Chair), P Firth, Mrs C Forrester, Ms J Guest and Ms S Keetley

26/05/01 To elect a Chairman of the Parish Council and sign the declaration of acceptance 

               Proposed Cllr Ms Guest, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to elect Cllr Pache as Chairman to the Parish Council. 

26/05/02 To elect a Vice Chairman of the Parish Council and sign the declaration of acceptance 

              Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Firth and agreed by all to elect Cllr Ms Keetley as Vice Chairman to the Parish Council. 

26/05/03 Chairman’s remarks 

              Thank you for the re election to the Chairman post of the Parish Council.  We are looking forward to another productive year. 

26/05/04 To receive apologies and reasons for absence 

               Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley , seconded Cllr Ms Forrester and agreed by all to accept apologies and reasons for absence from Cllr Cutter. 

26/05/05 Disclosure of pecuniary interests  

               None received 

26/05/06 Notes of the meeting held on Monday 13th April 2026 to be approved and signed as minutes 

               Proposed Cllr Ms Guest, seconded Cllr Firth and agreed by all to approve the minutes of the last meeting as a true record of events. 

26/05/07 To elect representatives to the following working groups:

               Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to elect the lead representatives to the following working groups: - 

  • Human Resources – Cllrs Ms Guest and Cutter 
  • Dunholme District Indoor Bowls Club – Cllr Ms S Keetley and Pache 
  • Village Hall – Cllr Firth 
  • Village Maintenance – Cllr Pache 
  • Christmas event working group – Cllr Ms Keetley 
  • Sheepwash Hill Project – Cllr Ms Guest (Lead) 
  • Play areas – Cllrs Ms Keetley and Mrs Forrester 
  • Sustainability – Cllr Ms Guest 
  • Planning – Cllrs Firth and Cutter 

26/05/08 Accounts and Finance 

        a)  To approve the current financial statement to 30.04.2026 

             Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to approve the current financial at 30th April 2026.  The current band balance is £21,4022.12. 

        b)  To approve the payment of accounts  

             Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Frith and agreed by all to make the following payments:- 

 

26/05/09 Parish Council Building and Assets:- 

               a) To receive an update on the village hall and Bowls Club improvement progress 

                   No action is currently required. 

              b) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the heater in the village hall kitchen 

                  Awaiting further quotes – Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Frith and agreed by all to set a budget of £600 to undertake the work 

             c) To receive an update and take any necessary action regarding future projects and community engagement at Sheepwash Hill 

                Cllr Ms Guest is attending 2 training courses over the next week to cover allotment tenancies and health and safety at allotments.  Following this, Cllr Ms Guest will provide an update to Councillors and further discussions will take place regarding the business case. 

               A quote of £8000 has been received to install a water supply – due to the cost of this, it was agreed by all not to pursue this idea. 

              The Clerk will contact the insurance company to see if allotments are covered under the public liability insurance. 

           d) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the installation of a gate at Sheepwash Hill site 

              Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to accept a quote from AKO Groundworks for £1540 to install a gate at the bottom end of the Sheepwash Hill site and fencing for the top of the site to ensure the site stays secure. 

26/05/10 To discuss and make any comments on planning applications received: - 

               WL/2026/00374 – 14 Chadwick Road - Planning application for the construction of 2 storey side extension to existing dwelling – discuss and submit any comments to WLDC – No comments to submit. 

26/05/11 To receive an update regarding sustainability within the village 

              William Farr is interested in being involved in community projects. 
              All trees, apart from 1 are growing well, the 1 not growing well is being monitored. 
              Ask the village maintenance contractor to give more space around trees to ensure no damage is done to the area.  

26/05/12 Village Maintenance 

              To discuss and take any necessary action regarding village maintenance needed around the village 

              The Clerk will email site users to remind them that the disabled parking bays should only be used by people will blue badges. 

26/05/13 To agree to close the meeting to press and public to discuss confidential matters

26/05/14 To receive an update on the DDIBC and take any necessary action
