A meeting of Dunholme Parish Council took place on Monday 3rd February 2025 in the Jubilee Room
of the Village Hall.

25/02/01           Chairman’s remarks 
               Welcome to meeting
 
25/02/02           To receive and decide upon applications for co option onto the Parish Council
                            Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed by all to co-opt Phil Firth
                            onto the Council. 
 
25/02/03          To receive apologies and reasons for absence  
  Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to accept apologies and reasons for absence from Cllr Seal. 
 
25/02/04          Disclosure of pecuniary interests  
               None received 
 
25/02/05         Notes of the meeting held on Monday 6th January 2025 to be approved and signed as
                        minutes  
  Proposed Cllr Ms Guest, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to approve the notes of the last meeting as a true record of events. 
 
25/02/06         Accounts and Finance 
 
                  a)    To receive an update of the Parish and Town Borrowing Application Form to request a
                         loan to purchase community space within the village 
                          LALC have the necessary paperwork, they have requested a copy of the 2026 budget
                          and will then be able to forward the application for formal approval ready to send with
                          the loan application. 
 
                  b)    To discuss and take any necessary action regarding Nettleham Woodland Trust
                         fundraising 
                         No action is required by the Parish Council 
 
                  c)    To receive a quote for maintenance required to the Manor Farm duck pond and
                         duck house 
                         Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed by all to approve the quotes
                         from Phil Westman Landscapes Limited for maintenance to the Manor Farm Pond and
                         Duck House at a cost of £2990. 
             
                 d)    To approve the payment of accounts

25/02/07       Parish Council Building and Assets:- 

                 a)   To receive an update on the village hall and Bowls Club progress 

The Parish Council are still awaiting an outcome from the grant application to apply for the relevant planning permission and undertake the necessary surveys. 

                b)  To approve payment for the purchase of a duck house for the Honeyholes Lane pond 

Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to purchase a duck house from Buttercup Farm Ltd for £511.66. 

                c)   To approve payment for the purchase of a fire assembly sign for the village hall car park 

Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Ms Guest and agreed by all to purchase a fire assembly sign for £493.35 from Allen Signs and installation costs of £60.                       

25/02/08      To discuss and submit comments to WLDC regarding planning applications received:

                       No applications received 

25/02/09     To receive an update regarding promoting sustainability within the village 

The hedge packs of small hedge saplings are due for delivery by the end of the month. 

Proposed Cllr Ms Guest, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to purchase 100 tree guards for £45.99.  

The Clerk will chase the clothes bank for incomes to be paid and also to come along and empty it again. 

25/02/10      To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the Community Volunteer of the Year awards 

                The deadline for submissions is the end of February. 

25/02/11      To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the annual garden fete 

Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Ms Keetley and agreed by all to provide payment for an amenity up to the value of £500. 

25/02/12     Administration:-

                   a) To receive an update regarding the movement of the Parish Council website 

Proposed Cllr Ms Guest, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed by all to purchase 10 hours of Webmaster maintenance service via LALC to move over and maintain the Dunholme Parish Council LCC website at a cost of £180.

25/02/13     Village Maintenance 

                  a) To discuss and take any necessary action regarding maintenance needed around the village 

Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Ms Keetley and agreed by all to undertake the below actions:- 

  • Overgrown trees on Dunholme Close – The Clerk will forward the resident email to the landowner to request they undertake the necessary maintenance. 

  • The Clerk will contact NCS to see if they are looking for any additional projects in the coming year to see if they would be able to help with future projects in the village. 

  • Parking issues outside of the Primary school have been raised – Cllr Ms Keetley will contact the school to advise them to contact Highways etc and remind parents to park safely. 

  • The village maintenance facilitator has requested new gloves and a long high vis jacket. 

  • Due to damage and theft of bags, it has been decided not to refill the dog waste bags dispensers and remove them once empty. 

  • The overgrown trees on the A46, especially near the junctions have been reported to Highways to request this is cut back prior to this season's growth.
