A meeting of Dunholme Parish Council took place on Monday 2nd June 2025 in the Jubilee Room of the Village Hall. 

Present: Cllrs A Pache (Chair), P Cutter, Mrs C Forrester, P Firth, Ms J Guest and Ms S Keetley,

25/06/01        Chairman’s remarks 
                         Welcome to the meeting. 
                         The Parish Council has received notification on a local Solar Farm – a consultation event
                         is taking place on Scothern on 6th June 2025At this time the Parish Council has not
                         been asked to oficially comment on the plan. 
 
25/06/02       To receive and decide upon applications for co option onto the Parish Council 
                         Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to approve the
                         application for co option onto the Parish Council from Tony Dalton-MinterThe Clerk
                         will send the necessary paperwork for completion. 
 
25/06/03       To receive apologies and reasons for absence 
                        Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to accept apologies
                        and reasons for absence from Cllr Seal. 
 
25/06/04       Disclosure of pecuniary interests  
                        None declared. 
 
25/06/05       Notes of the meeting held on Monday 12th May 2025 to be approved and signed as minutes 
                        Proposed Cllr Cutter, seconded Cllr Firth and agreed by all to approve the notes of the
                        last meeting as a true record of events. 
 
25/06/06       Accounts and Finance 
               a)    To receive and decide upon an application for a financial donation from Dunholme News
                       towards printing costs 
                        Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed by all not to give a
                        financial donation to the Dunholme News of £4,000.  It was felt that Section 137 was not
                        appropriate in this instance due to the money involved for 5 months of newsletters and
                        the instability of a new committee not being found to produce the newsletter. 
 
               b)    To receive and decide upon an application for a financial donation from Dunholme St Chads
                       PCC towards grass cutting costs 
                        Proposed Cllr Ms Keetley, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed  by all to make a
                        financial donation of £750 to Dunholme St Chads PCC towards their grass cutting costs. 
 
              c)     To approve the payment of accounts 
                       Proposed Cllr Mrs Forrester, seconded Cllr Cutter and agreed  by all to make the

25/06/07        Parish Council Building and Assets:- 
                        To receive an update on the village hall and Bowls Club progress 
                        No update to minute.   
 
25/06/08        To receive an update regarding sustainability within the village 
                  Some of the hedging has struggled and so a couple more packs are going to be ordered
                  to try and fill in the gaps. 
                  Allotment training has been attended by Cllr Ms Guest and further training is being
                  looked into. 
 
25/06/09      To receive an update of the Parish Council website 
                        The new website is now live. 
                        A note has been added to Facebook and the Clerk will ensure the old website is taken
                        down or a line added to redirect to the new website. 
 
25/06/10       To approve the review of the following policies:- 
                         Proposed Cllr Ms Guest, seconded Cllr Mrs Forrester and agreed by all to approve the
                         below policies:- 
                          a)  Standing Orders 
                          b)  Financial Regulations 
                          c)  Grants and Donations Policy 
 
25/06/11        To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the village garden fete 
                  The garden fete is due to take place on 14th June 2025. 
                   A marquee will be situated within the fete for the Parish Council to promote our
                   projects etc. 
 
 25/06/12       To discuss and take any necessary action regarding the telephone communication within
                        the Parish Council with the public 
The Clerk is awaiting a quote for a plan to include a landline number and an option for
extensions to other Councillors.   
 
25/06/13        Village Maintenance 
                a)      To discuss and take any necessary action regarding village maintenance needed
                          around the village 
                          -   The dog waste bin on Ryland Road needs moving up the public footpath slightly. 
                          -   New liners for the bins near the church need to be purchased as they are rusty
                              and breaking. 
                          -   A village litter pick is going to be arranged for around September. 
 
               b)      To agree and take any necessary action regarding replacing the broken toilet brackets
                         in the sports units 
 Proposed Cllr Pache, seconded Cllr Ms Keetley and agreed by all to set a budget of £100
 to replace and fit the broken toilet brackets.
